Dekerf Warranty Policy 2007
Dekerf Cycle Innovations offers a limited lifetime warranty on all of its framesets to the original owner, with the exceptions listed below. Proof of purchase from an authorised Dekerf dealer may be neccessary in order to process a warranty claim. Dekerf reserves the right to repair or replace, at its sole descretion, any frame damaged and covered by warranty. The frame's paintwork is covered under a seperate warraty below.
Limits and Exceptions
Full suspension frames: Moving parts on full suspension frames such as bushings, bearings, pivots and shafts are subject to wear and tear in the course of normal use and are not included in the warranty unless specific manufacturer's defect can be shown. The rear shock absorber is seperately covered under terms of the manufacturers warranty.
This warranty does not cover the following:
- Damage caused by abuse: i.e. using a frame in a manner for which it was not intended - extreme riding on a XC frame or cyclocrossing on a road frame
- Damage caused by crashes: i.e. dents, cracks or bent tubes that are an imeadiate consequence of impact.
- Damage caused by negligence: i.e. corrosion that is the result of paint scratches and/or stone chips that are left bare.
- Damage caused by chain, either to the frame or the anti-chainsuck device. Bent dropout or derailleur hangers.
- Damage caused by forks, handlebars or brake levers coming into contact with the frame.
- Frames that are used for racing.
* Please note that the cost of disassembly, reassembly and all associated freight costs are not covered by Dekerf.
Paint Warranty
Dekerf uses wet coat paints on all of its frames. The materials that are used have been carefully selected in order to have frame coatings that are both durable and aesthetically pleasing. There are limits to the amount of punishment any paintjob can absorb without chipping or scratching. Normal wear and tear such as stone chips; scratches and abrasions are not covered under this warranty.
* Dekerf will only warranty paintwork that is a result of the application process.
Warranty Procedure
Return Authorization number issued by Dekerf must accompany all frame returned to Dekerf for warranty inspection.
